Review

Ive been following this series as and when it gets released in America, im now on the final volume, so my review will be fairly accurate

Basically Erementar Gerad(its Japanese name), was produced a few years ago by a Studio called Xebec, they are an offshoot of Production I.G(people who made Ghost in the Shell), Xebec produced such anime as Love Hina, D.N Angel, and Stellvia amongst others.

The Opening music, and i reccomend you look for the CD online if you love JPop, is simply amazing, its wonderful.

the Animation is.. meh at best, the backgrounds are nothing amazing, The Character designs are good though.

This Show has a wonderfully cute feel to it, its a Journey Anime, basically one long Journey filled with Lovely events and battles, and emotional happenings, guarenteed to make you think, and question some stuff, and enjoy yourself.

i really did enjoy watching this, Basically Cou is a Sky Pirate, the anime opens with him and the crew of the Red Lynx raiding a ship in the sky, yes airships(not the focus of the anime sorry), Eventually we see Cou finding a case that contains a Girl called Ren who is an Edel Raid.

this Volume focus"s mainly on introducing the main characters, setting the situations, and getting them ready for their journey, basically Ren has to go to Edel Garden

Also this anime has a lot of Battle sequences, basically Cou reacts with Ren and she becomes a weapon, like this weird Sword thing that covers most his arm, they end up battling other edel raids and "Sting Reids"

if your wondering, this can appeal to most ages at the start on this volume, its a pure, and fun show for any age.

also, the Manga has a lil more adult feel to it, im guessing Play has including the Manga volume 1, which contains partial "side" shot of Rens chest on one of the pages.

if your a parent, dont worry, its fine.. nothing really "bad per say" in the manga.. i just thought ild add.. just incase..
