Assassin's Pride is set in a world in which humaninty is on the brink of extinction, having retreated to a single city named Flandore which is covered by a glass dome and surrounded by monstrous lycanthropes. Within the city, the population is split between commoners and nobility, with the latter inherently gifted with "mana" that allows them to utilise superhiman abilities with which they are able to battle the dark forces surrounding them.
The story follows the 13 year old Melida Angel, a young noble who has yet to show any manifestation of her powers and as such is teased mercilessly by her classmates. Frustrated, the angel family hires the assassin Kufa Vampir to bring out her nascent abilities... or execute her.
The pair face many challenges over the course of the series, both from within and outside of the city walls. Can Melida bring forth her abilities, or is she doomed to be slain by her own teacher?
The 12 episode series is based on the 13 volume light novel of the same name by Kei Amagi which started publication in 2016. Available as a single set, this series features romance, action and fantasy, and is available now from Anime-On-Line.
